We value our responsibility to educate the community about the methods of Gestalt psychotherapy and to explore how Gestalt therapy can be integrated with other methodologies.
The Gestalt Center of Long Island maintains an active and responsive relationship with the professional, educational and lay community via the following services:

PROGRAMS FOR PROFESSIONALS
Professionals in the mental health field who may not be interested in the 3 Year Certificate Training Program at this time are welcome to explore and study the Gestalt approach by attending center sponsored programs and workshops, particularly the 1 Year Professional Education Program and the 4 Week Gestalt Introductory Series for mental health professionals, and the 3 Day Intensive Training Retreat. EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH SERVICES AND COURSES
The staff of the Center is available to demonstrate and discuss the Gestalt approach to psychotherapy and counseling. We are pleased to accept invitations to make presentations in appropriate educational or clinical settings, such as classes, grand rounds, colloquia and agency staff meetings.
The Center is proud to have been invited to offer courses for continuing education and college credits through area universities, including Hofstra University, Adelphi School of Social Work, C.W. Post, and Stony Brook School of Social Work. Our faculty, staff and graduates have presented workshops at major professional conferences and training programs. We have offered intensive in-service training for professional staff at hospitals, alcohol and drug rehabilitation agencies, schools and mental health agencies. |
