OVERVIEW

The Program has been formed in response to graduates’, and graduating students’ numerous requests to the Center, to offer an advanced program to continue their Gestalt education and training. The program focuses on helping you maintain the “edge” between Gestalt theory and philosophy and its application to clinical practice. The design of the program includes: hands-on supervised sessions (therapist/client/supervisor) with participants assuming all three roles, theoretical emphasis, working with specific diagnosis and issues, and on-going case management.

We will delve into working in the Gestalt model with difficult diagnosis’s such as post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, dissociative-identification disorder, eating disorders, etc. You will learn skills specific to working with the body, working with couples, spirituality, transference and counter-transference. We will devote time to management and supervision of clients in individual practice.

The group will be facilitated by many of the training staff who will rotate throughout the year.
